Jpanel open on big screens, closed on small screen

I'm testing your great JPanel Plugin with a responsive theme. Now I wonder if it is possible to show the side panel open when using a big screen (Desktop, Tablet). But when opening the site with, for example a smartphone, the panel should keep closed.
Is this possible?
